In an extremely wonderful LJ post, [livejournal.com profile] cadhla wrote a remarkably negative review of Coke Blak, a drink described on the bottle as a "carbonated fusion beverage." What exactly was fused is left unclear. You have to try it to see.

[livejournal.com profile] cadhla is wonderful, and I trust her completely, and I fully believed that it must indeed be awful stuff, but I had to nonetheless experience it for myself to see just what sort of flavor inspired her. It's like the squiddy milk—you just have to try it yourself.

It comes in a small glass bottle wrapped completely with plastic label. It has the usual dark Coke color. The initial flavor is a nondescript very sweet, but soon the cheap-ass bad candy flavor becomes apparent, plus the scent and flavor of a candle store. You know, you go to the mall, and there are two or three stores selling nothing but scented candles? You go into one and OMG! That smell! Imagine that smell as a soda flavor. That's what this stuff smells like, and tastes like. Imagine drinking a cotton candy and candle store mixture, liquified and put into a bottle. That's what it is a fusion of! It is, as far as I know, a unique product. Let's hope it stays that way.
