There is an air show in Milwaukee this weekend, featuring the USAF Thunderbirds team. Also the usual sorts of aerobatic acts, the usual military demos, and the Golden Knights parachute team. Also, in the evening, tethered hot air balloons. Lots of fun. And, you know, there is no more patriotic way than a jet demonstration team, flying around in afterburner, to remind us of our dependence on oil imported from more-or-less hostile foreign countries.

I have some airshow photos up from last weekend's show in Milwaukee. The US Navy's Blue Angels made an appearance. They are most impressive. The F-16 and the A-10 were pretty cool, too. They did a heritage formation flight with a P-51, too.
