After 17 consecutive cloudy days—a new record for Milwaukee—we finally have a bright, sunny morning with a nearly cloudless blue sky, and a more-normal morning low of -7°C, bringing with it the usual winter morning ritual of scraping icy stuff off of the car windows. Yay for sunlight!

Date: 2006-01-11 12:24 pm (UTC)To be honest - I've no idea! With all that snow and cold you've got I'd have sworn that you are farther north (because it gets colder the farther north you get) but that was only a guess.
At this time of year, the sun comes up at about 8.30 a.m. and leaves at 5 p.m. I usually arrive at my office between 6.45 a.m. and 7 a.m. and leave between 4.30 p.m. and 5 p.m. - or, on Thursdays, at 6 p.m.

Date: 2006-01-11 01:06 pm (UTC)Here these days sunrise is about 7:20 and sunset 16:40. I wake up closer to 6:30, but don't leave until nearly 8. It's plenty dark by the time I leave work at 17:30.
