I just saw the GE television commercial with the scantily-clad female coal miners and a few very buff men pretending to mine coal in beautiful slow motion (sound track: 16 Tons) ending with the line “harnessing the power of coal is looking more and more beautiful every day.” Har! Get it? More beautiful, like the skinny models. The mind boggles. It’s as though the ad agency were asked to promote coal burning while offending...everybody.
