Protesters?
Jan. 17th, 2005 06:13 pmWhile driving to the grocery store I encountered a large group of sign-equipped people on the side of the Harwood Ave/Wauwatosa Ave bridge. There were so many of them, gathered so close to the narrow travel lane, that I had to devote so much attention to making sure I didn’t hit one of them that I had no attention left over for trying to read their signs in the semi-darkness. So I have no idea what they were there for. They may have been striking workers, angry people protesting grave injustice, happy people celebrating some joyous event, they may have wanted me to write my senator/representative/alderperson, they may have been promoting veganism or advocating pollution. I honestly don’t know, though I suspect that if they were happy people celebrating, they would have just gone inside where it is warm, given that the temperature was around -12°C. Anyway, there are a bunch of people in Tosa who feel very strongly about something.
