back home from OVFF

OVFF was great. It was very nice having Monday off from work and being able to actually be at the con on Sunday, enjoy the traditional Mongolian barbecue, and participate in the dead dog. This also maked for a more relaxed trip home. I had a great time, spent lots of time talking to people, enjoyed the music, and, yes, there will be photos. (Mind you, I haven't even posted my FC photos yet, so don't hold your breath. But there are some good ones.)

It was terrific to see you at the con and I enjoyed your music a lot! The German version of "Phoenix" was especially cool :).

I sang Der Phoenix at FilkContinental just as C.J. Ueberall (who wrote that translation) came into the room, though naturally I had no idea yet who she was. It was fun meeting her, and telling her how much fun I've had with the song in America. The thing I loved at OVFF was how that started the series of songs-not-in-English. Don't hear those too often.
