Library and coffee
May. 25th, 2004 09:09 pmI go to Central Library, on 8th and Wisconsin downtown, fairly often. Today, besides returning and getting books, I wandered down to the 3rd ward, where I indulged my new Starbucks habit and had a white chocolate mocha. I suppose it's good that I don't live within walking distance nor a nice bike ride of a Starbucks or other coffee place. I don't like plain coffee, but with enough sugar and fat added it's pretty darn good. I'm certainly not going to drive to a coffee place. Somehow, that's supposed to be a walk. Especially if your idea of "coffee" is mostly sugar and fat. Anyway, the one on 124th and Capitol is not really in a scenic and fun area, on the intersection of two big roads, by a Target and a Home Depot. I'm not sure that's a great place to sit outside on a nice day and watch the world go by. Not quite the same as the 3rd ward, by the river.
