Yum, but I'm perfectly willing to acknowledge that it's not really chocolate. It's a confection of its own and one I love. I do not argue with the people who say it isn't chocolate, though, since it's not.

Good white chocolate is excellent, but it's hard to find in the US. It shouldn't be confused with light-colored stuff with artificial flavoring.

normally I prefer chocolate like dreams of love: rich, dark and bittersweet.
However, white chocolate, milk, dark, sweet, semi, or bitter...I like it all (even if it's bad for me.)

White chocolate is chocolate in much the same what that Domino's Pizza is pizza -- it's an inedible substance that has callously stolen the name of something good and tasty.

I'll have to point you at some real white chocolate the next time we're in Germany.

If you look carefully at the labels of most "white chocolate" sold in the US, you'll find it says "chocolate flavored" or something of the sort, rather than "chocolate" as a noun.
