Eye Irritant

I was looking at the label on a bottle of household cleaning product and noticed that it said "Caution: Eye irritant." Ya think? I mean, everything, except for tears, is an eye irritant. Water is an eye irritant. You think this floor cleaner would irritate my eyes if I sprayed it in there? Do you think we're going to see a combination car polish/eye drop product? I don't think we're going to see that product. Eye irritant....

Never put salt in your eye

I am reminded of a Kids in the Hall sketch of this poor guy whose mind always drifts to one thought--"Never put salt in your eye." He can't help but obsess on the idea of never putting salt in your eye. So He'll be sitting at some meeting, drifting off as a manager recites sales figures, and in his head, "never put salt in your eye" repeats until it becomes unbearably compelling to put salt in his eye.

Naturally, his screams of pain interrupt the meeting and much hilarity ensues.

Uh, well, it was funny on TV.

My favorite warning is printed on those little plastic carpet cutters with the blades you can break a part off when they aren't sharp enough. It's usually used for cutting things, right? The warning says: Danger. Sharp blade. Nooooooo, really? I thought the carpet could be cut with a spoon!!!
