Tom Smith moment

I was in the local Outpost grocery store yesterday and while buying (no fooling) some salmon, I saw, above the display case, the book Plank Cooking: The Essence of Natural Wood, along with some packages of cedar planks. I can only say Arrrrr! For in Tom Smith’s Talk Like a Pirate Day Song, as recorded in And They Say I’ve Got Talent, there is, right after the parrot shavings bit, the “What are you doing with that salmon?” “I’m grilling it on a hunk of cedar.” “You can’t do that in a Japanese stir fry, you bilge rat!” “You never heard of woking the plank?” It’s better than having Badger Pajamas in my head.
