My voice is back! I can sing! Unfortunately, my ears are still stuffed up, so I can’t hear right, which does make the singing a bit odd. Also, the high notes on the flute hurt, and, well, there are a lot of high notes when you play flute. The real test of wellness is tonight. Will I spend the night sleeping, or coughing?

I caught a cold which (as is inevitable with me, for some reason) morphed into a sinus infection. I had -no- voice from the day after Thanksgiving until after New Year's. Yes, the husbands were ecstatic (*sigh*) but I was miserable. I missed Howlin' Beagle's gig in my home town... I couldn't sing for over a month even after my voice came back. It was *miserable*.

Glad you're better much faster. :-)

bravo!!! i'm glad your voice is back. don't do anything silly to strain it...maybe you should just read rather than playing the flute.

i hope you are drinking plenty of fluid (hot tea is good for you, even when it's warm outside). add some honey to it.

hope you slept well.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. I did sleep a bit more last night than the previous two nights, so I'm more functional today.
