I put some new photos up on Flickr. These were taken Saturday and Sunday while walking around Milwaukee with my new Canon A95. There are a few semi-successful photos of geese in flight. My procedure for trying to photograph birds in flight? Set the camera to continuous shooting mode, aim it in the general direction of the birds, hold down the button, and then do a lot of deleting. Two gigabytes of flash and it's not like it costs anything to fill it and delete it all.

Also, don't miss the burned garbage truck.

The goose against the white background is nice. Did you edit the image, and if not, what is actually in the background that looks like a clean piece of paper?

I frequently try to take many shots of something I know is going to be tricky. It's kind of frustrating when I take 50 pictures of essentially the same scene and when I go back through them discover that the first one is the best one...

It's cropped but not otherwise processed. The clean white background is in fact a clean white background of clouds on an overcast day. It's fairly amazing that the exposure came out so good.
