From today's Journal Sentinel:
I really can't say if car-roof-menorahs, ceremonies at a supermarket and a mall, and a Lego menorah, are appropriate, charming, silly, or what, though I will say I'm somewhat surprised at the notion of a convoy to Pick 'n Save for religious rather than grocery purposes. Do feel free to comment if you have your own opinion.
A parade of cars with roof-mounted menorahs will take off from Red Arrow Park on Saturady afternoon, en route to the Pick 'n Save store at N. Port Washington and Mequon Road, for a public lighting ceremony at 4:15 p.m. to celebrate Hanukkah.
At 5 p.m., the menorah convoy heads to Bayshore Village in Glendale for a celebration of the Jewish Festival of Lights in the mall rotunda. Sunday at 5 p.m. marks the lighting of a 12-foot menorah made of Legos.
L'chaim!
