I just bought myself a 4GB iPod nano. It’s tinier than you can believe, somehow contains four gigabytes of flash RAM, and has a remarkably nice tiny color screen. I’m still flailing around trying to figure out how to use gtkpod, one of the Linux programs for the iPods, but I did get some files onto it, and it sounds nice. 4GB! Nicer than 128 MB, that’s for sure. And, best of all, after you turn it off, when you turn it back on, it remembers where you were in the file you were listening to. I usually listen to files at least a half hour long. Inability to stop part way through and pick up where I left off was the most aggravating thing about my old “iRock.”

It is a very cool toy.
