After a cold yesterday, my first chance to commute by bicycle after the time change and thus a trip home in the dark (with my bright headlight), today was downright warm for southeastern Wisconsin in November.

I picked up Last Chance to Eat: The Fate of Taste in a Fast Food World at the library downtown, which looks like a good book, took advantage of a 20%-off coupon at Borders to buy the giant four-disk total-overkill special edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, then took a walk along the Hank Aaron trail, stopped by Starbucks, and wandered by New World Wine Company where I saw Moonstone raspberry saké, which I decided I had to try. It comes in a pretty blue bottle. I’ll report on the flavor after I’ve had the chance to try it.

I also walked out to an odd collection of artwork visible from a road I often drive on, to see what it was about. It’s mounted on the roof of a small building that plays some roll in the sewer system, and I need to get a digital camera so share these things more easily.

Lots of walking and not much eating (just a snack and coffee drink at Starbucks), but maybe Joyce and I will eat out tomorrow.
