Fruity!

It seems that someone left...something...in the clothes dryer, or possibly washer, at my co-worker’s apartment building. Something with a fruity, strawberry smell. A really, really strong fruity, strawberry-type smell. Normally, the lab does not smell like a candle store. On the one hand, this is a better smell than the usual laboratory smell, on the other hand, it is a mighty strong smell.

200 bpm

108th street/Mayfair road/highway 100 is down to one lane northbound for a short stretch just north of Hampton due to construction work. This is more-or-less in the valley between two gentle slopes, so it starts off fast on a bicycle and then gets a bit slower right at the end. I like to sprint through with all available power, which will get me near 50 kilometers per hour, not too dramatically slower than the 40 mph/64 kph speed limit.

Today I saw 200 beats per minute on the heart rate monitor for the first time in a while. I can’t maintain 200 bpm for long, though I was above 195 for a short while. Fun!
