pool party

I had a very nice afternoon and evening at Carol and John’s party. They had food in abundance and a somewhat cool swimming pool. Joyce and I, being special, brought wet suits, so we enjoyed the swimming along with other guests who I guess were just colder than we. I somehow ended up reading Dr. Seuss tongue-twisters to a small child on my lap, which was certainly a new experience for child-free me. Fortunately, telling them to stop playing with the doors while they ran around the house in circles shrieking was not my responsibility.
