I dream of phenylisothiocyanate

This morning as I started to work on the protein sequencer I remembered that I had a dream, last night, I guess, about running out of phenylisothiocyanate due to a leaking valve. I don’t know what it means if you dream about PITC. It can’t be good. The PITC level, in reality, was fine. This seemed like a good day to change the aging HPLC column on the instrument. Bad idea. I still haven’t gotten a usable, or even recognizable, chromatogram out of it.
