There has been a certain amount of rain recently in this part of the world. Specifically, a large amount. There are small lakes in all sorts of places that are normally dry. Strangely, there are also some lakes that managed to find a way to bust out of confinement and flow away downstream, leaving big muddy areas where water used to be.

Right in Milwaukee, though, it's not so bad. Nearly all the roads anywhere near me un-flooded shortly after the rain stopped, and I'm fine. I did get some interesting photos, though:

While driving from Madison to Antioch yesterday afternoon, I saw a good many beautiful shimmering blue farm fields from the interstate.
