Chess boxing

For some reason, chess boxing got mentioned in the midst of a political discussion in one blog or another that I read. This sport actually exists, and ESPN went to Köln a few years back to cover a match. Really. Competitors alternate rounds of chess and boxing, and no, I don't know why. It is, literally, a comic-book idea come to life. And, yes, I would totally love to see it. (Especially if I got to go to Köln to do so.)
