They look great. Big, too. Why do I keep thinking "lay my favourite colleague underneath and pray for sunshine"?

They look so cool! I haven't seen a real icicle outside for years now.

When I put the first photo up I didn't expect so much response. We have a whole season in which these things are everywhere, so while it was a good view of the thing, it didn't seem all that exciting to me. Not everyone gets a few months of ice, I see. (Plus I think my cut-tag text attracted every German!)

:) The cut tag definitely attracts Germans! :)
And icicles, too, because I have the feeling that there will be again no real winter over here.

Thought so!

I had [livejournal.com profile] catalana's music playing in the car this morning. Just like driving to Bielefeld except without you and with the road signs in English and with snow covering everything and the air at -10°C. OK, not so much like it...

Wow, they look great!

Hum, by the way... Arne, too, thinks they are impressvie, though he also said "It's not *that* hard to be taller than Michael - even for an icicle." ;P

He has a point, but as of this morning I think it's grown tall enough to play pro basketball.

People tell me that I seem much bigger on the Internet than in person. Now that you've met me in person, what do you think?

Hmm, it's hard to tell. I'm bad at guessing sizes on pictures, but I guess I always expected you to be not very tall. A little taller than you actually are, perhaps, but not really tall.

Really, the only experiences I can recall of meeting in person people who I already knew well and had seen photos of and had some idea of the appearance of are you all in Germany. You, [livejournal.com profile] aryana_filker, [livejournal.com profile] legoline... Photos just aren't the same as real life. Everyone was a bit of a surprise to see.

*nods* Yes, you have an impression from the pictures, but you're never *really* sure how the person looks like in real life.
