There’s a Milwaukee house filk this weekend which I’ll actually be able to go. The last one occurred while I was at Oshkosh and the one before that I was ill for. My fretting fingers are not quite ready. With two weeks in Arizona and then another week in Oshkosh without the guitar, the callouses are gone.

You can do it! I've played 4 hour gigs after a month off ;)

I'm sure I can play three or four songs at the filk, especially since the fingertips get a break from the strings when I play something on the flute---it's the practicing before the filk that's hurting my fingers. A four hour gig would be another thing altogether! Of course, I don't have four hours worth of songs that I can actually play....

All my callouses sloughed off a couple weeks back, and I had to perform two shows the next weekend in St Louis. You get through it.

I wish I could make it to the house filk, but that would make 3 weekends in a row.
