tickets purchased, I think....
Mar. 17th, 2006 10:38 pmI've ordered tickets for the April 4 organ recital at Madison's Overture Hall. Resident organist Samuel Hutchison will play a bunch of music on the fairly new Orgelbau Klais instrument. No thanks to the stupid online ticket site, which "requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or Netscape Navigator 4.77" and just hangs partway through the process with Firefox. I don't still have Netscape 4.77 on hand, for some reason, and honestly I'd be stunned if that actually worked with the site anyway, so I guess it's really IE only. Thanks, guys, I really appreciate having to use the mass spectrometer data analysis computer at work to buy concert tickets.
Joyce did say that this sounded like an interesting event. She didn't actually say that she wanted to come with me to Madison on a Tuesday night until after I bought my ticket. Could have saved $3 in fees if I'd know that while ordering. And why they charge an extra fee for the buying part of buying tickets I don't know. It's $17, plus $4 each for I don't know what, plus $3 per order to cover the immense costs of making sure their web site doesn't even work right. Except that when I actually ordered the web page says it's $20 plus $5 plus $3 which somehow equals $23, which I guess is new math. Or IE-only math, perhaps.

Date: 2006-03-18 02:20 pm (UTC)Ashton was about 4 months old in that picture. He's now 3.5 years and still cute, but at 13 pounds, it's a different kind of cute.
(In case you're interested.)

Curiously, this race is cuter as adults than as kittens:
