OK, another, more highly dignified photo
Tom is a very funny man. True, I saw him just a week ago at WindyCon, but every performance is unique, given his tendency to make up new songs on the spot. There are some great singalong songs. Rocket Ride has turned into quite the group singing effort these days.
It was a nice evening. Joyce and I stopped at Gurnee Mills Saturday afternoon and went to the Bass Pro Shop, which features a big fish tank containing big fish. Tom’s concert was, of course, a hoot. Various people, at various times, were stunned, broken, or befuddled by various songs. We had a nice filk afterwards. It was a good night for Celtic tunes on the flute. It’s fun to have people playing along, but also scary. I have to try to maintain a reasonably steady tempo if other people are playing!
