The shipping geniuses at Beckman Coulter sent the box show below the cut. Note the “prevent back injury” and “bend knees to lift” markings. The box seemed much too light to cause back injury. Indeed, inside was only the sheet of paper with directions for the product shipped previously in a bigger, heavier box. Plus crumpled packing paper, to protect the printed paper from, um, shock and impact. Not only could they have e-mailed the instructions, they’ve sent zillions of copies over the years, and I hardly need another copy. This is the same company that has a history of not padding the shipments of glass bottles of toxic, flammable, expensive solvents adequately, resulting in breakage. But the sheet of paper is well packed.

Too funny! Don't you think an envelpoe would have been more appropriate?

From the looks of the box, it's a good thing they weren't shipping something more fragile than a piece of paper.

That's genius! They should send Certified Mail and Credit Collections the same way - with the boxes lined with lead or other materials for 'weight'.

- Certified letter for perotheus
"Oh he isn't here. I'm not signing for anything, I am sorry."
*** vs. ***
- Sign for this package, please sir!
"oh boy! a present!"
