My living room is not nearly so pretty as her's is:


You can see the TV off to the left along with audio equipment, a book shelf, oddly-shaped table covered with junk, exercise stuff, a drying rack for laundry, another table covered with stuff, the sofa out of which a reasonably comfortable bed unfolds for visitors, yet more stuff on a table, and of course, the recumbent bicycle. At the right edge the big book cases can just be seen.

My first thought on the oddly shaped table: IKEA!

:) My father bought that table for himself long ago. It might actually be older than IKEA is, or close to it. Certainly decades before there was IKEA in the US. Here's a better look at the table. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/beigephotos/1780097010/) I actually once saw an example of this type of table in the art museum, in a display about furniture.
