Skating

There were not very many people at the ice rink tonight. It is amazing how much more exercise you can get when you have space to go fast. It’s also a lot easier to skate backwards with fewer people to avoid.

Practice is the key. Do you have a good place to skate? We have a refrigerated outdoor rink open all winter downtown. It's even free.

No here isn't any good place. When I want to do ice skating I must drive 23 km.

I don't think I actually live much closer than that, but I work about half-way between home and the center of the city where the park with the ice rink is, so it doesn't seem so far. It's actually a fairly convenient bus ride for me if I don't drive.
